COCO has been a Stand-Up Comedian over 3 decades, while many comedians were trying to connect the comedy dots, she was creating spaces to perform, grow and thrive. You name them she has worked with them. Her comedy comes from real life experiences, good bad or indifferent.

Mike Bonner is a longtime veteran of the Stand-Up Comedy Scene, Bonner was one of 10 comedians selected in 1999 to appear at the prestigious, HBO sponsored US “Comedy Arts Festival” in Aspen, CO. After a near fatal car accident in early 2001 almost took his life, five months later he went on to win the “Bay Area Black Comedy Competition”. He has appeared on Jamie Foxx Presents “Laffapalooza” on Showtime, Russell Simmons HBO’s Def Comedy Jam All-Stars”, and seven seasons of BET’s “Comicview” where he won his own Grandstand Comedy Special. A native and legend of Detroit, Bonner’s act focuses on family life about his family, three kids, and being an old dad. You can now regularly catch Mike Bonner co-hosting Live In The D on WDIV Local 4 in Detroit.

Motor City Comedy Festival is a non-profit organization, established in 2017, that gives comedians from around the world the opportunity to network, learn and practice their craft. We pair some of the biggest stand ups anywhere with the next generation of comedy greats to create lineups our audiences will never forget. Much more than that, we want to foster a community of funny people and provide them with the chance to get better, increase their network and gain exposure to industry professionals.
